Our December meeting will be on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at 7:30 pm at the Center for Urban Horticulture, 3501 NE 41st Street, Seattle.  Doors open at 7:00pm. The December Meeting is traditionally a Members Only event with a Potluck to make it special.  This year due to the current COVID-19 restrictions in place (no food or drinks allowed) we are going to switch things up a bit and feature a 1 hour special Fungi Adventure Video “In Search of the Holey Veil” created and produced by the renowned Taylor Lockwood.  Taylor has agreed to allow us to share this video at our Meeting.  In addition to our Movie Night we will be having Door Prizes, hosting a Silent Auction and passing out Courtesy Gifts at the end of the evening with our Best Wishes for a great Holiday Season!

More about the Silent Auction

We would like willing members to bring Fungi, Mushroom and/or Outdoor Recreation items that are in Good to New shape for Auction at this event.  The proceeds from this auction will be added to the Ben Woo Scholarship Fund.  This fund has provided scholarships largely to Students, Teachers and Academics who are active in furthering the study of and education about fungi, ideally in the Pacific Northwest.   Besides funding scholarships a Silent Auction is just fun to do and provides us with an activity that gets us up and out of our seats and talking with one another.  If possible, those who elect to bring auction items can come to the meeting from 6:30-7:00pm so that we can label and stage these items on the tables at the north end of the Hall.  Any items that are not bid on will be returned to the original owner.  For those bidding on auction items please pay in cash or check made out to Puget Sound Mycological Society. We are sorry but there are no refunds if you register but don't attend.
